About Us
The Universal Service Fund (USF) is a division of the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA), established under the Communications Act (Cap 68:01). The USF seeks to ensure that digital services are available in all parts of the country and that all Malawians have access to basic, affordable communications services.
The USF is established to promote universal service and access to communications services in the telecommunications, broadcasting, and postal sectors in rural and underserved areas in the country.
